1.Warranty Coverage
AKEN offers a 10-year structural warranty on the aluminium and glass systems it manufactures and supplies, reflecting our confidence in the engineering and materials used. This warranty is granted to the original purchaser and covers manufacturing defects under the conditions described below.
2.What is Covered
The 10-year structural warranty covers the integrity of the aluminium profiles and structure against manufacturing defects, including extrusion faults, undue structural deformation and abnormal oxidation of the aluminium under normal use.
3.Warranty Periods by Component
- Aluminium structure and profiles: 10 years against manufacturing defects;
- Hardware and moving parts (rollers, locks, hinges): per the manufacturer's term, subject to natural wear from use;
- Glass: against manufacturing defects, excluding scratches, cracks and breakage after delivery;
- Finish and paint: against abnormal peeling or fading caused by a manufacturing defect.
4.Conditions of Validity
The warranty is valid provided the product was installed by an authorised team or in accordance with AKEN's technical specifications, used for its intended purpose and subjected to the recommended maintenance and cleaning. Presentation of the purchase invoice is mandatory to make a claim.
5.Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
- damage from improper use, impact, vandalism or accidents;
- installation or modification carried out by unauthorised third parties;
- natural wear of seals, brushes and rubber elements;
- damage from natural events, sea air outside specification or aggressive chemical agents;
- lack of maintenance and cleaning as instructed.
6.Consumer Rights
This contractual warranty is complementary to and does not exclude the legal warranty ensured by the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Law No. 8,078/1990). The legal warranty periods run independently and consumer rights remain fully preserved.
7.How to Make a Claim
